I've been keep a Gratitude Journal for a month now and what a difference it makes, by appreciating all the things in your life that you are grateful for , it takes you away from what you think your life lacks... I encourage you to try it and see.  see the blessings in your life....

the bed that you sleep in....the roof over your head.... the first cup of mouth watering coffee.... the sun shining down on you.... the leaves dancing on the branches of the trees.... your pet coming for a cuddle.... your child caressing your cheek....your lovers embrace....your yoga practice.... your mother..... your father....

the more you Open to Receive (this was last weeks theme for YogaRelax) the more you fill up and ultimately then serve others for the highest good.

One way to see if you receive....ask yourself.... when someone pays you a compliment - do you?

  • say thank you and smile and appreciate the compliment fully
  • deflect the compliment saying oh well you must think that because
  • or deflect in another way saying oh no that's not true
a simple thank you and a smile is graciuosly extending love back and fully appreciating your self. try it!

Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity...it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow ~ Melanie Beatty
